Congratulations are in order for Stevie Wonder and his girlfriend, Tomeeka Robyn Bracy who welcomed a healthy baby girl to the world. Stevie’s rep confirmed to Us Weekly that the singer and Tomeeka ended up sticking with the name Nia, which means purpose. Nia is the couple’s second child together.
Last month, entertainment site Page Six reported that Wonder, 64, was having triplets, bringing his count to eleven. But during a recent appearance on The View, the legendary singer/musician clarified rumors, telling host Whoopi Goldberg, “it’s so hard for me these days. That’s why I’m going on the road. I’ve got how many—22 kids?”
He continued, “But actually it’s not true. The truth is we’re going to have a wonderful daughter, born in December, [and her] name is going to be Nia, which is ‘purpose.'”
The 64-year-old, who has nine children with five different women, was previously married Syreeta Wright and Karen “Kai” Millard Morris, who he split with in 2012.
