Jamie Foxx Recovering At Top Physical Rehab Facility In Chicago
Jamie Foxx continues to receive medical treatment after his serious health scare last month in Atlanta.
The 55-year old is now in Chicago undergoing physical rehabilitation at one of the top physical medicine and rehabilitation centers in the country.
According to Fox 32, Foxx is getting treatment at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab. While Foxx’s condition is still unknown, the facility specializes in stroke recovery, traumatic brain injury rehab, spinal cord injury rehab and cancer rehabilitation.
Sources connected to Jamie say he arrived at the facility in Chicago in late April — after initially getting treatment in an Atlanta hospital. They also revealed he’s “recovering well.”
Foxx’s family — including daughters Corinne Foxx and Anelise Bishop as well as Anelise’s mother, Kristin Grannis — were seen visiting him in the medical facility on both Saturday and Sunday, as seen in photos obtained by TMZ.
Jamie was first hospitalized April 12 in Atlanta for what Corinne called a “medical complication” but was already on the road to recovery.
On Friday, Corinne announced her father had been out of the hospital for “weeks” and was “recuperating” — even playing pickleball. She also slammed reports Foxx was in the ICU and the family was preparing for the worst.
“Update from the family: Sad to see how the media runs wild,” she said. “My Dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating. In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday! Thanks for everyone’s prayers and support!”
Shirley Ryan also offers an adaptive sports and fitness program, which would explain the pickle ball.
Corinne also teased  a “work announcement” on the horizon.
On Monday FOX announced that the father-daughter duo will host a new musical game show called We Are Family. The series is expected to debut in 2024.
