Kanye West Under Investigation For Punching A Fan

Kanye West is under investigation for alleged criminal battery.

According to FOX 11, Ye got into an argument that turned physical around 3 a.m. Thursday when a fan asked West for his autograph while he was sitting in his SUV outside of the Soho Warehouse.

West allegedly punched the fan, who fell to the ground. Witnesses say Ye punched the guy twice — once in the head, and once in the neck — and when the autograph seeker went down, his head struck the ground hard.

The case is now being investigated by the LAPD as a misdemeanor battery, which carries a maximum jail sentence of six months.

Video of West in a fit of rage has now hit the internet. The footage, obtained by TMZ shows the rap star, shouting at a female member of his team as an unidentified man lies on the ground. Per the site, the alleged victim refused medical treatment at the scene.

The unknown man is seen in the clip dressed in a pair of jeans and a black hoodie, and, though seemingly still conscious, does not rise from the ground.

Before the incident West was with girlfriend Julia Fox and a variety of celebrities, including Evan Ross, Madonna and Antonio Brown, Delilah in West Hollywood.

West then hit the studio for a late-night session in Hollywood that wrapped around 2:30am. Sometime after he made his way downtown when the incident with the fan occurred.
