Kanye’s New Boo? 5 Things To Know About Julia Fox

Kanye West appears to be moving on with a new lady love following his split from wife Kim Kardashian. After rumored romances with models Irina Shayk and Vinetria, West is now getting cozy with actress Julia Fox.

The pair were first spotted together at the top of the year in Miami and soon brought their romance to New York City, where they attended a Broadway show together and were snapped smiling and laughing in each other’s company before heading back to West’s hotel.

“Julia and Ye are dating,” a source close to Fox told Page Six exclusively. “They both just got out of their former relationships, and they’ve helped each other recover immensely.

“They’re kind of kindred spirits, and it’s cool to watch.”

So who is she? Here’s 5 things to know about the Italian born, New York-bred actress.

She’s Also Divorced

Fox married pilot Peter Artemiev in 2018 and welcomed their son Valentino on January 17, 2021. It’s unclear when exactly the two split. In December 2021 Fox accused Artemiev of being an alcoholic and a “deadbeat dad” to their son.

“This man left me with a 5-month-old and a dog and a home and ALL THE BILLS. It’s wrong!!! It’s not fair,” Fox fumed on Instagram in December 2021. “I can’t even do it anymore. I just don’t want my son f–ked up cuz he feels like his dad was absent or loved alcohol and partying more than him,” she added.

Big Break

The 31-year-old got her big break opposite Adam Sandler in 2019’s “Uncut Gems,” her film debut. For the role she was nominated for the Breakthrough Actor Award at the 2019 Gotham Awards. In 2021 she also starred as an old Hollywood-style housewife-wife mistress in No Sudden Move. She also wrote and directed Fantasy Girls, a short film about a group of teenage girls involved in sex work living in Reno, Nevada. She starred in Ben Hozie’s PVT Chat, playing a cam girl named Scarlet.

She’s Posed For Playboy

Before breaking into acting, Fox also worked as a model.  In 2015 she posed  in a nude photoshoot by Greg Manis for Playboy’s final nude issue. In a 2021 interview with Vogue, she said Anna Nicole Smith is one of her style icons.

Interestingly she also did a cover shoot for Paper magazine alongside Kardashian’s new boo Pete Davidson. For their Nov. 2019 cover shoot Fox and Davidson appeared as Ken and Barbie in PAPER Magazine’s infamous #BreaktheInternet issue together.

She’s An Author

She’s also self-published two books on photography, Symptomatic of a Relationship Gone Sour: Heartburn/Nausea, published in 2015, and PTSD, published in 2016. She also hosted an art exhibit titled “R.I.P. Julia Fox,” where she used her own blood to stain silk canvases.

Past Addictions

Fox has been open about her past drug addiction since stepping into the limelight, revealing to The New Yorker that she suffered an overdose at the age of 17 after battling heroin and pill abuse. “It’s kind of a miracle that I’m okay because a lot of the people I grew up with aren’t doing so well. They’re still on drugs or in jail. A lot of them died,” the star told The Hollywood Reporter in 2020.
