Michelle Williams Open To DC5 Reunion: “Everyone Is Pretty Much Cordial”
Michelle Williams thinks a Destiny’s Child reunion could happen with original members Latoya and LaTavia.
Williams said as much during an Instagram Live session with TV personality Jawn Murray after he requested the ladies get together for a DC5 reunion.
“That would be actually something,” she said. “Everyone is pretty much cordial. That I don’t know the answer to but that could be kind of fly.”

Original members LeToya Luckett and LaTavia Roberson were booted from the group in 2000 ahead of the group’s hit single “Say My Name.” Williams and Farrah Franklin replaced them and the latter eventually left the group, leaving Williams to round out the band with Beyonce and Kelly Rowland.
In 2006 the group, which also used the abbreviation DC3, disbanded to pursue solo careers, but have reunited over the years, most recently in 2018 at Coachella.
Williams also spoke about the her desire to get the old gang back together in her new memoir, “Checking in: How Getting Real about Depression Saved My Life — and Can Save Yours.”
“I mean anything is possible,” she added. “As long as God is in that’s a great thing.”
She also celebrated the release of her book by sharing audio of her group chats with Beyonce and Rowland.
“Look who checked in yesterday with me!! The only time we’ll let y’all eavesdrop on our group chats #checkingin #thereunionyallhavebeenwaitingfor,” Williams captioned an IG post of the audio on Wednesday.
“We love and miss you so much … You are so inspirational for both of us and we just love watching you become exactly who you are and the world [sees] your impact and your wisdom, and your beautiful advice and discernment and we’re just so proud of you,” Beyonce said on the clip.
The second clip shows a more recent picture of their in-person reunion, with Rowland holding up her baby boy Noah, whom she gave birth to at the end of January. Both Beyoncé and Williams were virtually present at the birth via Zoom.
