Social Media Erupts In Debate After Kid Cudi Wears Dress On ‘SNL’
Kid Cudi was a hot topic on social media after his performance on “Saturday Night Live” on April 10.
The rapper, rocked a maxi-length, spaghetti-strapped floral sundress at one point, and a green cardigan at another, while performing songs from his latest album on the NBC sketch show.
Both were a tribute to late Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain — who wore similar outfits before his untimely death in 1994 — but some folks on Twitter didn’t get the memo and went in.
One user wrote: “The illuminati got to kid cudi”

Cobain died by suicide April 5, 1994. Cudi confirmed on Twitter Sunday that he wanted to pay homage to Cobain for the anniversary of his death. He also thanks designer Virgil Abloh for creating the look and announced a capsule collection is on the way.
Virgil designed the dress for me. I told him I wanted to show love to Kurt w a floral print sundress and this man made a masterpiece. Thank You @virgilabloh ur a fuckin genius!! Love you man we did it!!!

Cudi, whose real name is Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi, is notably a Cobain fan. Over the summer, the rapper revealed he got a tattoo of the grunger rocker in an Instagram post.
He also wore a T-shirt that honored former “SNL” cast member Chris Farley, who died in 1997 of a drug overdose.
Fans who got the reference praised him for bringing awareness to suicide prevention.
It’s been 27 years since Kurt Cobain died. Which as of last week is now longer than he was alive.
Respect to @KidCudi for using his platform & @nbcsnl appearance to pay tribute to Kurt’s legacy of struggle, authenticity, creativity for freedom, vulnerability, & individual style. pic.twitter.com/BItMNmKkMw
