Tiger Woods Hospitalized After Car Crash, Set To Undergo Surgery On His Legs

Tiger Woods was involved in a horrific single-car crash where he sustained multiple legs injuries and is undergoing surgery.

The accident occurred early Tuesday morning on the border of Rolling Hills Estates and Rancho Palos Verdes. Woods was in the area or his annual Genesis Invitational golf tournament at the Riviera Country Club in the Pacific Palisades.

During a news conference earlier today, Deputy Carlos Gonzalez (who was the first to arrive at the scene of the crash) recounted the events he witnessed saying:

“Tiger was unable to stand on his own due to the serious injuries suffered in the crash — and was put on a stretcher and loaded into an ambulance. Tiger was wearing a seatbelt during the crash — and officials believe it might have saved his life,” this according to TMZ.

The accident is currently under investigation, but as of now, it is unclear what caused the crash.

Unfortunately, this isn’t Tiger’s first incident involving a car. In 2009, he crashed his car outside of his Florida home and years later, in 2017, he was arrested for a DUI.
