Twitter Comes For Da Baby For Coming For JoJo Siwa

In case you missed it, Da Baby came for JoJo Siwa and then all of Twitter came for Da Baby.

On Friday (February 19), the 29-year-old rap star dropped the music video for the track “Beatbox Freestyle” Remix.

About half way through the visual DaBaby holds up a picture of JoJo Siwa on his iPhone and raps, “you a bitch, JoJo Siwa, bitch.”

While Da Baby typically says some pretty explicit things on his tracks, this diss seemed to come out of no where considering Siwa is a 17-year-old Nickelodeon star who sells sequined bows at Target. Twitter seemed to feel the same way.

One user wrote: “Can someone please explain why da baby is dissing jojo siwa when she’s 12 years younger, 10 times richer, and 2 inches taller than him.”

While another said: “YO WHAT DID I MISS DID JOJO SIWA DUNK ON DABABY AT THE NICKELODEON GAMES OR SOME SHIT???”

Some also thought it could be a play on words, JoJo being short for Jonathan (Da Baby’s real name) and
Siwa meaning See Why.

Still it couldn’t have come at a worse time given the 17-year-old just came out and opened up about her girlfriend.

On Sunday Da Baby clarified that he has no problem with JoJo. “All love on my end shawty,” he tweeted. “Don’t let em trick you into thinking id ever have a problem with you,” he writes. “My word play just went over their heads.”
