“Coming 2 America” Trailer Is Finally Here … But Is PC Culture Ready?
We’ve been waiting for months (years?!) and now it’s finally here. The trailer for “Coming 2 America” dropped and folks are ecstatic!
The whole gang is back — Eddie Murphy reprises his role as Prince Akeem, with Arsenio Hall, James Earl Jones, and Shari Headley, in their original roles, right by his side. The trailer also gives glimpse of some of our faves from the first film including Randy Watson and the barbershop crew.
The whole 1:45 clip really feels like a walk down memory lane, but with a new destination. Of course, the story has changed with Akeem taking the throne in Zamunda and heading back to America to find the son he didn’t know he had. New additions like Teyana Taylor, Wesley Snipes, and Leslie Jones, lets you know you’re in for something a bit different than before.
All in all, the trailer definitely has fans hype and ready for the movie to drop on Amazon Prime, March 5th.
This shit looks funny

There hasn't been a great comedy with a black cast since Girls Trip in 2017. I am very excited for this one.

But, in PC culture will some of the jokes go too far?
So people find jokes about a horrific genocide funny? I would never find a joke funny about police brutality or slavery, like that shit would never be funny. Like what’s funny about “it’s slavery and police brutality ”?

So they made #Coming2America about a black fatherless child? 🤔
I rewatched the first one and finally got all the hype of why black ppl loved the movie so much, it was delightful.
They could have chosen a different plot 🙄 but I guess since I hear Eddie has a baseball team 😆

Ugh. Did the writers have to turn Akeem into an estranged baby daddy who didn’t know he had a son. Feels lazy.

Hopefully, folks will be able to find a why to enjoy the film the same way they did the original…
Y’all complain about every damn thing. Just enjoy the movie or not watch it. Geesh! Everything it’s meant to be OSCAR caliber thought provoking film. This is paying homage to the original. A feel good movie
