Lisa Turtle Is Back! Lark Voorhies WILL Return For ‘Saved by The Bell’ Reboot
Well this is a pleasant surprise! After previously stating that she was “hurt” that the cast of Saved By The Bell didn’t involve her in any reunions, Lark Voorhies will reprise her role as Lisa Turtle in the show’s upcoming reboot.
Entertainment Weekly shared the news on Instagram stating, “Lisa Turtle is back” alongside a first look photo of Voorhies in her signature bougie aesthetic.
This news comes as fans were disappointed to not see Lark in the trailer for the reboot scheduled to hit Peacock on November 25th. According to NBC’s streaming service, “when the show picks up with Lisa, she is thriving with a successful career in fashion.” It is not yet known how many episodes she will appear in or when she will pop up.
Earlier this year, during an appearance on Dr. Oz, Voorhies revealed she suffered from Schizoaffective thought disorder and attributed the diagnosis to why she hadn’t been included in any reunions or events with the cast.
“I have to admit I did feel a bit slighted and hurt when I was not invited to be part of the Saved by the Bell reunion as well as other cast members’ events, yet of course, I also realized that having this puzzling disorder may have played a major part in that factual decision,” she said at the time. “With that in mind, I am truly thankful for having had the chance to work on a show that has been so successful.”
Thankfully, that is not the case with this reboot! We’re so happy to see Lisa Turtle is back and looking better than ever. Will you be tuning in when Saved by the Bell drops November 25th on Peacock?
