Exclusive: Lamar Odom’s Ex-Fiance Liza Morales Joins “Basketball Wives”
The “Basketball Wives” just got a new player on the team. HipHollywood has learned that Lamar Odom’s former fiance Liza Morales is joining the cast.
Morales, who was with Odom for close to a decade, shares a daughter Destiny and a son Lamar Jr. with the former Los Angeles Laker star. They also had a third child, Jayden, who tragically passed away when he was 6 months old of SIDS.
Following his death the couple split and Odom met and married Khloe Kardashian. Morales and Odom then became embroiled in a nasty custody battle for years. The 41-year-old said in an essay for The Daily Beast that she was devastated by the break-up and losing Odom to the Kardashian clan.
In 2013, she also shared her story on the short-lived TLC reality show “Starter Wives.” She and Odom appeared to have patched things up for the sake of their children in recent years, but all that may have changed.
Odom is now engaged to fitness expert Sabrina Parr but we get the sense there’s some tension between she and Morales.
On Tuesday Morales posted a series of messages in her IG stories seemingly aimed at Parr. After she praised Lamar in a post and he replied in the comments, Morales accused Sabrina of writing the comment herself.
“Having convos on the gram with yourself ? People that know him, know he doesn’t talk like that,” she wrote. “Let’s get to the real … where is LJ’s college money??! We’ve been asking for it.”
LJ we assume is Odom’s son Lamar Jr. Not sure when things went left but we’re sure Liza will tell it all on BBW. We’re told the New York native started filming back in March before production shutdown due to COVID-19.
Morales will join returning cast members Shaunie O Neal, Evelyn Lozada, Jackie Christie, Jennifer Williams , Malaysia Pargo, Kristen Scott and Ogie Chijindu for what we hear will be a super juicy season.
The ladies are slated to resume filming next month with restrictions carefully planned out. We’re told the cast will be holed up in two separate houses during production. They will not be allowed to leave the bubble set in place by production.
