“Power Book II: Ghost” — How Will The Cast of “Power” Move On Without Omari Hardwick?
“Power” was immensely successful, a fan favorite, and all around d@mn good TV. Now that it’s come to an end, fans are excited to see where “Power Book II: Ghost” picks up the story. And, although the cast is excited as well, moving on without their leading man Omari Hardwick is a bittersweet pill to swallow.

In the series finale, after it was revealed that Ghost (Omari Hardiwck) was killed by his son Tariq (Michael Rainey Jr.), fans felt a range of emotions. Of course, there was still the perpetual side-eye given to Tariq, but what about Tasha (Naturi Naughton) taking the fall … how will this story go on? Fortunately, HH sat-down with the cast of “Power Book II: Ghost” to ask just that!
Naughton shared her own personal sadness about no longer working with Hardwick after six years together on “Power”. But, she also revealed excitement in seeing how her character develops even though she’s behind bars. Rainey revealed that he’s excited for redemption! It’s no secret fans weren’t really fond of Traiq … and unfortunately, that meant fans were sometimes mean to Michael. But, in “Power Book II” that could change.
And newcomer to the cast, Mary J. Blige, shared that her character Monet, is a reflection of the women she grew up with in the Bronx. Blige had a lot of input on her character, so that means there’s definitely a little Mary in Monet!
