RHOP Drama: Candiace Dillard Apologizes For Past Homophobic Tweets

The drama just keeps coming for the ladies of Real Housewives Of Potomac.

Candiace Dillard is apologizing for past homophobic tweets. On Wednesday (August 12) Dillard expressed her remorse for statements she made “nearly 10 years ago” via Twitter after the tweets resurfaced.

Dillard, 33, wrote: ‘To my loyal fanbase, particularly the LGBTQIA+ viewers, thank [you] for your unwavering support. I love you,’ she began, adding: ‘I, alone, am responsible for my words and I deeply regret saying anything that could have hurt my friends, colleagues, family and fans.’

Dillard’s tweets have since been deleted, but many are still available online, with one comment from 2010 that reads: ‘Queenie gay men irk me.’

In another one that resurfaced she calls former Real Housewives Of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks’ then-husband Apollo Nida ‘a little gay’ because he was ‘so awkward.’

Dillard’s twitter scandal is just one of several headlines surrounding the new season of RHOP which just kicked off on August 2.  Back in October Dillard and cast member Monique Samuels got into physical altercation while Bravo cameras were rolling on season 5. It’s all slated to play out for fans.

In the meantime there’s also a brewing beef between Samuels and Gizelle Bryant over an alleged rumor that Samuels’ one-year-old son isn’t by her husband.
