Shaun Robinson Calls Out Former ‘Access Hollywood’ Co-Host Billy Bush
Shaun Robinson had some time Wednesday. The veteran journalist and TV host called out her former “Access Hollywood” co-star Billy Bush via Twitter.
Robinson, who was on the show for 16 years, tweeted at the anchor on Wednesday, “I appreciate you being an ally NOW” in response to a promotional link Bush tweeted out about him discussing George Floyd’s murder with correspondent and former NFL player Nate Burleson.
She continued, “If you want to talk about the pain #WhitePrivilege causes African Americans, you should probably also talk to the black woman who sat next to you on the set of #AccessHollywood for years.”
Robinson worked at Access Hollywood from 1999 to 2015 while Bush was on the program from 2001 to 2016. She now hosts the 90 Day Fiancé tell-alls.
Bush is now host of Extra after leaving the Today show in 2016. You recall Bush found himself in the midst of controversy after a tape of him and Donald Trump having a lewd conversation about women while on an Access Hollywood bus in 2005 was leaked in 2016. He exited the Today show in October 2016 after reaching a settlement with the network following national backlash. Meanwhile Trump became the 45th President … but we digress.
Bush’s privilege has been the subject of the entertainment journalism world before, with Tanika Ray revealed she left Extra after Bush was hired to host.
Bush has not responded, nor has NBC. Twitter had a field day and proceeded to drag Bush.

When white folks make these meaningless statements do they forget that there are real black people who work with them and went to school with them and know how they treat Black people in everyday life? #BillyBush #LeaMichele
