Teddy Riley Apologizes For Disastrous IG Battle, Twitter Still Drags Him

Teddy Riley and Babyface’s Instagram Live battle was an epic fail. But you already know that. Social media had a field day with memes, reactions and spoofs. We’ll get to that, but first, for Riley’s apology.

After trying to blame Babyface for the sound issues, he took to Instagram to apologize to fans. He also announced that a rematch will go down Monday at 8PM.

After drawing some 400,000 viewers on Saturday, it all came to a crashing halt because of Riley’s 98 microphones and audio issues.  But while people couldn’t get their groove on, they at least got their laugh on thanks to Black twitter.

Folks first started going off because of Riley’s bad sound system.

Jawn Murray wrote : “Dear those breaking social distancing with Teddy. Can someone please tell him there’s an echo echo echo echo …”

Others blasted Teddy’s hype man, music executive Breion Preston for his antics.

No Strays posted a video of Preston with the caption: “Only Person who enjoyed the Teddy Riley Battle Tonight.”

But nothing had us hollering like Tyrese who told Teddy to just throw in the TILE.. As in bathroom tile.

He later posted that he meant throw in the TOWEL on the TILE. We’re just glad he was on social media and not Wheel Of Fortune.
