Kanye Compared Himself To Kobe And The Internet Had A Big Laugh!
Kanye is going to find a way to Kanye even in the midst of a pandemic. The controversial rapper just compared himself to Kobe Bryant and the world let out a collective ‘too soon bro.’
Mr. West sat down for an interview with GQ magazine. In the cover story, the Yeezy designer did what he does best — boasted about himself and made cringeworthy statements. The interview took place just days after Bryant’s untimely death, and in response Kanye reflected on his thoughts about the NBA champ.
“He was the basketball version of me, and I was the rap version of him, and that’s facts! We got the commercials that prove it. No one else can say this. We came up at the same time, together. And now it’s like, yeah, I might have had a reputation for screaming about things—but I’m not taking any mess for an answer now. We’re about to build a paradigm shift for humanity. We ain’t playing with ’em. We bringing home the trophies.”
“So now there’s no way for me not to be as determined as Kobe … It’s game time. There’s no move that we can’t make, or that we’ll wait to make. Everyone in our life is now a member of the Lakers on one of Kobe’s championship teams. The way that Kobe would say that we all have to come together and win this championship is the way I look at life now. To an infinite, other level.”
Obviously, these comments rubbed a few folks the wrong way.
I don't recall Kobe being a narcissist douche that thought slavery was a choice but Kanye is gonna do what's best for Kanye https://t.co/LhXrUL7s3B

And nobody else gonna say it but I think it's disrespectful of Kanye to compare himself to Kobe. Kobe would never kiss Trumps ass hole. Kobe didn't do pub stunts or become creflo dollar to refill his bank account

Kobe was one of the greatest basketball players ever, he was and is respected by everyone, wether you were a fan of his or not. You can't say the same about kanye. Not everyone liked his music, not everyone respects him.

However, those weren’t the only comments that ruffled some feathers. ‘Ye saying that he’s voting for Trump to stay in office another four years was predictable, but still infuriating.
GQ: What was at odds to me about you wearing the hat is that “Make America Great Again” is about looking back. Whereas, to me, you are a perpetual forward thinker.
KW: I buy real estate. It’s better now than when Obama was in office. They don’t teach you in school about buying property. They teach you how to become somebody’s property.
GQ:For the election ahead, do you plan to speak more about it, or are your interests elsewhere?
KW: No, I’m definitely voting this time. And we know who I’m voting on. And I’m not going to be told by the people around me and the people that have their agenda that my career is going to be over. Because guess what: I’m still here! Jesus Is King was No. 1! I was told my career would end if I wasn’t with her. What kind of campaign is that, anyway? That’s like if Obama’s campaign was “I’m with black.” What’s the point of being a celebrity if you can’t have an opinion? Everybody make their own opinion! You know?
Black men had all that smoke for Oprah and Gale, but Kanye West out here endorsing Donald Trump.

Still can’t believe Kanye went from being one of my all-time favorite artists who took Bush to task on live-television to this televangelist Uncle Tom anal bead situated right between Trump’s ass cheeks. Embarrassment.

Kanye is such a clown that he’d continually support a dick-bag of vile lies like Trump after all he’s done to this country. Blaming the media for everything happening in America is a scapegoat for the deeper issues we face and I’m sick of his demented perspective. #Jackass
