Rapper YFN Lucci Speaks On The Death Of Pop Smoke
Fans are still in mourning after the news about the death of Pop Smoke was reported. Rappers like 2 Chainz, Nicki Minaj, and 50 Cent have all spoken out about the rise of violence and death in Hip Hop. Atlanta rapper YFN Lucci sat down with us to also speak on the death of Pop Smoke and how it has affected him.
At first sight, Smoke’s death was quickly dubbed as a home invasion robbery gone horribly wrong since just hours before his death the Brooklyn rapper had posted his full address online while showing off gifts. The Hollywood Hills home he was staying in is owned by RHOBH star Teddi Mellencamp and her husband, Edwin Arroyave.
Well, authorities are now saying Pop, whose real name is Bashar Barakah Jackson, may have been the victim of a targeted hit. Video surveillance obtained by TMZ, shows 4 men approach the home at around 4:30 AM. The men are seen sneaking around the back before a few mins pass and only 3 of the 4 men are seen along the side and front of the home. The 4th man then goes into the back door… where conveniently there are no cameras.
The man then reappears exiting the front door empty-handed after multiple shots were fired, leading police to believe that it wasn’t an armed robbery after all. Even though there were multiple people in the home at the time, unfortunately, Pop was the only one shot and killed.
“With this life man, we know what comes with it so you just gotta always move right,” YFN Lucci told us. “You gotta always pay attention to certain things. You can’t trust nobody because they ain’t you. Everybody don’t got what you got so you just gotta be mindful of a lot of sh** and if you gotta second guess something then hey man it ain’t right.”
