Hip-hop heavyweights Latto, Ludacris, and DJ Khaled judged 22 artists as they prove they have what it takes to stand out and win $250,000. But what does this season truly embody? To find out, we went straight to the source—the cast themselves.
We chatted with this season’s judges and 8 of the last standing rappers in an exclusive interview, where we asked them to describe Season 2 in just one word.
Their answers revealed not only the essence of the competition but also the emotions, struggles, and victories that defined their journeys.
For the “Southern Hospitality” rapper, it’s only right that he used his namesake “ludacris”capturing the high-energy performances and unpredictable moments that kept viewers on the edge of their seats. Latto described the season as “big” and DJ Khaled said “anotha one”. Although it’s not technically one word we let it’s slide.

Season winner DreTL called the season “real” and that’s exactly what fans seen on-screen. Flint rapper Yoshi Vintage ironically called the season “creepy” admitting that being in the spotlight and sharing her personal life felt unsettling at times.
