Tina Knowles Files For Divorce From Richard Lawson After 8 Years Of Marriage

Tina Knowles is calling it quits on her marriage to second husband Richard Lawson.

Knowles, filed for divorce on Wednesday, July 26, ending her marriage of eight years to the 76-year-old actor.

The split comes after weeks of speculation about the pair’s marriage. The two haven’t been spotted together since March and Richard also hasn’t been by  Tina’s side while she’s supported daughter Beyoncé on her Renaissance tour.

In her court filing (obtained by TMZ) she cited the cause of the split as “irreconcilable differences”  and said they’d been separated since Tuesday, July 25. In the docs, Tina is also asking the court to terminate the court’s ability to award spousal support to her or Richard.

Tina and Richard married in 2015 in a celebration on the water attended by his daughter, actress Bianca Lawson, Beyoncé, Jay-Z and their daughter Blue Ivy, Solange and son Julez (and her ex-husband Alan Ferguson) and many more star-studded guests.

Tina changed her name to Celestine Lawson when she married Richard. Now she wants to have her named restored to Celestine Knowles.
