Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback Talk ‘Transformers: Rise of the Beasts’
Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback are teaming up and kicking some robot butt in the action-packed “Transformers: Rise of the Beasts!”
In the film, directed by Steven Caple Jr, Ramos plays Noah Diaz an ex-military technology expert who with the help of Elena Wallace (Fishback), a smart and driven history buff, protect Earth from the planet-eating monster, Unicron.
HipHollywood caught up with the duo about starring in the action packed summer blockbuster and why they loved playing these characters so much.
“I met Steven before he came to the set of Judas and a black Messiah,” said Fishback. “And I really liked him. So we met up and he told me, I want Elena to have autonomy. I want her to have her own story, her own arc. And he let me sit with the writers just to discuss things.”
Meanwhile Ramos says he was a huge fan of the franchise.
“I was a big fan. I didn’t watch the cartoon in the 80s, but The Beast Wars was one of my favorite cartoons in the 90s. So these characters, I’m super like, I love them.”
“Transformers: Rise of the Beasts” based on the Hasbro toys, is the seventh movie in the Transformers series. The film also boasts an amazing voice cast, including Peter Cullen who reprises his role as Optimus Prime, Peter Dinklage who voices Scrouge, Michelle Yeoh, Cristo Fernández, Liza Koshy, and Pete Davison.
“Transformers: Rise of the Beasts” is in theaters now.
