Ticket To Paradise: George Clooney & Julia Roberts Reveal Their Travel Style
George Clooney and Julia Roberts’ latest film Ticket To Paradise will have you laughing out loud … and yearning to take a fabulous vacation.
In the film Roberts and Clooney play a bitterly divorced couple hellbent on preventing their daughter (Kaitlyn Dever) from marrying an Indonesian seaweed farmer (Maxime Bouttier) she’s only recently met during her vacation to Bali with her roommate (Billie Lourd).
The film, directed and co-written by Ol Parker (“Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again”), was primarily shot in Australia due to Covid restrictions, incorporating footage from some Balinese locations, and it all looks lovely.
HipHollywood sat down with the cast to talk about the film and their own personal travel style.
While on screen Clooney and Roberts can’t seem to agree on anything, off-screen they couldn’t be more in sync and absolutely adore each other.
“I think it’s the human he is,” said Roberts about Clooney. “I think it’s the place that he has that sees his responsibility on the planet … I think that is incredibly impressive.”
According to Parker, the film was written just for them. They’ve made five movies together since Ocean’s 11 but there’s something even more vivacious and fun-loving about their latest.
“It was fun,” said Clooney. “And it was made even more fun because Kaitlin Dieger, who plays our daughter in the movie, is so divine and delicious and so just sweet. Everything about her is just so earnest. And then there we are.”
“It was funny because we were really like the children in the relationship. We were like the two six year olds,” joked Roberts.
“Ticket to Paradise” premieres October 21.
