Lizzo Seemingly Respond’s To Kanye’s Comments About Her Weight
Lizzo had a few words for folks talking about her.
During her concert at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto on Friday night the “About Damn Time” singer asked the crowd if she could move to the Canadian country.
“I feel like everybody in America got my motherf–king name in their motherf–king mouth for no motherf–king reason,” she said. “I’m minding my fat, black, beautiful business. Can I stay here? Who can I marry for that dual citizenship?”
The comment seems to be in response to Kanye West who brought up Lizzo’s weight during his interview with Tucker Carlson last week.
“When Lizzo loses 10 pounds and announces it, the bots … on Instagram, they attack her losing weight, because the media wants to put out a perception that being overweight is the new goal when it’s actually unhealthy,” he said, adding, “It’s demonic.”
During the 2022 MTV VMAs in late August, Lizzo also took a moment to not-so-subtly throw some shade at comedian Aries Spears, who made fatphobic comments about her during an interview with The Art of Dialogue.
Kim Kardashian Opens Up About Kanye’s Bi-Polar Disorder
Though no excuse, West appears to be in the midst of a mental breakdown. The Yeezy founder was hospitalized for mental health problems in 2016. In 2019, he revealed he suffers from bipolar disorder.
In recent days he has also come under fire for his “White Lives Matter” t-shirts and had his social media accounts locked after a series of antisemitic posts.
