With Halloween creeping up soon, we’ve pulled together a list of films coming to streamers and theaters that will have you jumping (and not for joy). Here’s 5 frightfully delightful films to check out.

Hocus Pocus 2

Cast: Bette Midler,  Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy  Sam Richardson Doug Jones

It’s been 29 years since someone lit the Black Flame Candle and resurrected the 17th-century sisters, and they are looking for revenge. Now it is up to three high-school students to stop the ravenous witches from wreaking a new kind of havoc on Salem before dawn on All Hallow’s Eve.

Hellraiser

Cast: Hiam Abbass, Goran Visnjic, Brandon Flynn, Jamie Clayton, Adam Faison, Drew Starkey, Aoife Hinds, Jason Liles

Pinhead may be one of the horror genre’s most recognizable icons, but fans of the original Hellraiser movie should prepare for something completely different.  In “Hellraiser,” a reinvention of Clive Barker’s 1987 horror classic from director David Bruckner, a young woman struggling with addiction comes into possession of an ancient puzzle box, unaware that its purpose is to summon the Cenobites, a group of sadistic supernatural beings from another dimension.

Coming to Hulu October 7th

Halloween Ends

Cast: Jamie Lee Curtis, Andi Matichak, Kyle Richards, David Gordon Green

The Halloween trilogy from David Gordon Green will conclude during the 2022’s spooky season with Halloween Ends. Curtis will return as Laurie Strode after the violent events of Halloween Kills to face Michael Myers one last time. The movie will take place four years after the end of Halloween Kills and deliver a conclusion to the scream queen’s iconic saga.

In theaters October 14th

The School For Good & Evil

Wendell & Wild

Following the summer release of Nope, Jordan Peele has an additional horror arriving to Netflix just in time for Halloween. This time Peele has brought along his longtime Key & Peele partner Keegan-Michael Key who wrote the screenplay and is starring with him. Wendell & Wild is a stop-motion animation project about two demon brothers who must face off against their arch-nemesis, a nun named Sister Helly and her two goth teens Kat and Raoul. Fun fact: The film also features an unreleased track from TDE’s latest breakout artist Doechi. Listen here.
