Does Damson Idris Want To Play James Bond?

Damson Idris has now entered the James Bond chat.

For years rumors have been swirling about who will succeed Daniel Craig as 007 with Idris Elba’s name reigning supreme. Now there may be another Idris eyeing the role. Idris, Damson, Idris.

HipHollywood hit the purple carpet for the season five premiere of Snowfall and caught up with the 30-year-old British actor.

Damson, who plays Franklin Saint in the FX drama, looked quite debonair rocking a black Prada suit … so much so we couldn’t help but ask if he was interested in playing Bond.

“It is an iconic character I will say that, I don’t know,” he said with a big smile before asking if we thought he could play Bond. “You never know anything could happen … you heard it first Hip Hollywood Bond is about to be Black.”

Back in January Bond franchise producer Barbara Broccoli slightly responded to conversation about a Black Bond and rumors about Elba.

“We know Idris, I’m friends with him,” she said speaking on a Deadline podcast. “He’s a magnificent actor.”

Still we’ve got our eye on Damson. His killer smile and dashing good looks have already earned him “Zaddy” status on social media. He can also handle action, thanks to roles in Outside The Wire (Netflix) and The Commuter (Lionsgate) and he told us he’s a huge fan of spy series Lupin.
