Tristan Thompson Confirms He Fathered A Child With Maralee Nichols

Tristan Thompson … you are the father!

After weeks of denying he fathered a child with Maralee Nichols, Thompson took to social media on Monday night to share results of his paternity test.

Paternity Confirmed

“Today, paternity test results reveal that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols,” the NBA star wrote. “I take full responsibility for my actions. Now that paternity has been established I look forward to amicably raising our son. I sincerely apologize to everyone I’ve hurt or disappointed throughout this ordeal both privately and publicly.”

Thompson confirmed the news via his Instagram Story and also issued a sincere apology to his ex — and other baby mama — Khloé Kardashian. In a second slide, Thompson acknowledged how his relationship with Nichols hurt Kardashian whom he was still dating when his newborn was conceived.

Apology To Khloe

“Khloé, you don’t deserve this. You don’t deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you,” he wrote. “You don’t deserve the way I have treated you over the years.”

The athlete went on to say that his actions “certainly have not lined up” with his personal view of the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” alum.

“I have the utmost respect and love for you. Regardless of what you may think,” he added. “Again, I am so incredibly sorry.”

Nichols Comes Forward

Back in November the personal trainer came forward claiming Tristan was the father of her unborn child. She also filed a lawsuit against Thompson for child support and for reimbursement of medical expenses and pregnancy-related costs.

Nichols claimed in legal docs that the baby was conceived in Houston, Texas during Thompson’s 30th birthday celebrations in March, when he was dating Khloe. She also says Thompson offered her $75,000 to have an abortion.

Thompson acknowledged having a “sporadic,” ongoing sexual relationship with Nichols, but denied he was the father of her child. He also said in docs obtained by The Daily Mail that his relationship with Nichols was “based on sex only” and they only communicated via Snapchat.

Nichols gave birth to a baby boy on Dec 1 and currently resides in Los Angeles.
