Cardi B Wins Lawsuit Against Tasha K, Awarded Close To $4 Million
Cardi B just scored a big W in her suit against blogger Tasha K.
The rapper won her libel case against the Youtube star (real name Tasha Kebe), who she sued for posting videos where she alleged, among other things, Cardi. was a prostitute who dabbled in drugs and had contracted STIs.
After a week-plus long trial, Tasha was found liable on 3 separate claims, and ordered to pay Cardi $1.25 million in general damages and and medical expenses.
You recall Cardi called BS on Tasha, suing her back in 2019 when the blogger refused to take down the damaging posts.
Cardi even went on the witness stand during the trial and testified she was suicidal during this period as a direct result of Tasha’s stories. The judge said any potential punitive damages Tasha might owe Cardi will be determined in a future hearing.
On Tuesday the Grammy-winning rapper was awarded additional money for punitive damages and attorneys’ fees.
Jurors ruled that Kebe is responsible for $1 million in punitive damages, Variety reports. Her company Kebe Studios LLC was ordered to pay an additional $500,000. Kebe will also have to reimburse Cardi for the rapper’s legal costs, which add up to $1,338,753.47.
This in addition to the $1.25 million Kebe was ordered to pay the Hustlers star Monday, bringing the total to more than $4 million.
Cardi thanked her attorney and the jurors during a press conference.

Tasha tweeted about the verdict, saying “My Husband, Attorney’s, & I fought really hard. I want to thank them for their long hours and sleepless nights. Winos it’s only up from here. See y’all in a few days. Back to work.”
We really hope she’s learned her lesson and will think twice before posting unsubstantiated stories about people.
