I Said What I Said!! Mary J. Blige Is Still Against Doing A Verzuz Battle

When talking about singing queens, real ones know Mary J. Blige is always at the top of the list. So it’s only right that in the age of the Verzuz Battle, fans to want to see the legend in action. Welp, it looks like she is still not budging from her decision to not do one.

We got a chance to catch up with the R&B diva ahead of the premiere for Power Book II: Ghost where, once again, she doubled down on not wanting to enter the Verzuz hall of fame.

“I mean I don’t want to do a Verzuz battle, I’m just not into it. I love watching it, though, like, I love Swizz, that’s my brother, that’s my family and that’s amazing what him and Timbaland did during the quarantine and Covid to pull people through, and now it’s a huge, monster success but it’s just something that I’m not into right now.”

But for wishful thinking, who do you think could stand toe-to-toe against THE Mary J. Blige? We have seen some legendary names drop, like Janet Jackson, Toni Braxton, Keyshia Cole or Alicia Keys, to name a few.

Unfortunately, it looks like the world may never know but we are still keeping our fingers crossed!
