Nicole Brown Simpson’s Sister Upset With Kim Kardashian For O.J. Joke
Not everyone is laughing at Kim Kardashain-West’s “Saturday Night Live” opening monologue.
Despite being praised for her comedy chops on the NBC sketch show — the reality star’s jokes about O.J. Simpson are being called “distasteful” by Nicole Brown Simpson’s sister.
In case you missed it, in the opening, Kim took shots at her entire family as well as O.J. — who her late father Robert Kardashian represented during his 1994 trial for the murder of his ex-wife and Ron Goldman.
“My father was and still is such an influence and inspiration to him,” she says. “I credit him for really opening up my eyes to racial injustice. It’s because of him that I met my first Black person. Want to take a stab in the dark at who it was? I know it’s sort of weird to remember the first Black person you met but O.J. does leave a mark, or several, or none at all. I still don’t know.”

Nicole’s sister Tanya Brown told TMZ that she “found the jokes beyond inappropriate and insensitive” and also questioned how much the famous family cared about her late sister.
Tanya thinks Kim should have pushed back or refused to do the jokes, assuming ‘SNL’ writers came up with the bit.
Kris Jenner has spoken candidly about how the trial split the family apart given her close friendship with Nicole. Following the show, she took to social media to praise Kim’s performance.
