White House Officials Say They ‘Offered a Call’ to Nicki Minaj Not Invite
Nicki Minaj announced she’s been invited to the White House, but in actuality it’s just a phone call.
The White House confirmed on Wednesday that it had offered her a call with a doctor to answer questions about the safety of the vaccine.
“As we have with others, we offered a call with Nicki Minaj and one of our doctors to answer questions she has about the safety and effectiveness of the vaccine,” a White House official said in a statement on Wednesday night.
Minaj however told her fans she had been invited to the White House. She shared on Twitter on Wednesday that she would “be dressed in all pink like Legally Blonde so they know I mean business.”
The White House has invited me & I think it’s a step in the right direction. Yes, I’m going. I’ll be dressed in all pink like Legally Blonde so they know I mean business. I’ll ask questions on behalf of the ppl who have been made fun of for simply being human. #BallGate day 3 https://t.co/PSa3WcEjH3

You recall Nicki’s comments about COVID-19 drew widespread attention and even prompted the Minister of Health in her native Trinadad and Tobago to clarify a statement she made about the vaccine causing her cousins friend to become impotent.
“My cousin in Trinidad won’t get the vaccine cuz his friend got it & became impotent. His testicles became swollen,” she wrote.
My cousin in Trinidad won’t get the vaccine cuz his friend got it & became impotent. His testicles became swollen. His friend was weeks away from getting married, now the girl called off the wedding. So just pray on it & make sure you’re comfortable with ur decision, not bullied

Terrence Deyalsingh, dismissed Minaj’s claim in a press conference on Wednesday.
“As we stand now, there is absolutely no reported side effect or adverse event of testicular swelling in Trinidad … and none that we know of anywhere in the world,” he said. “Unfortunately, we wasted so much time yesterday running down this false claim.”
For the record, Minaj did say in tweets to her fans she plans on getting vaccinated and also asked for suggestions on which one to get.
I know babe. A lot of countries won’t let ppl work w/o the vaccine. I’d def recommend they get the vaccine. They have to feed their families. I’m sure I’ll b vaccinated as well cuz I have to go on tour, etc. https://t.co/7SK5Df0yBf
