Battle of The Barbz: Yvette Nicole Brown Claps Back At Nicki Minaj’s Fans
Nicki Minaj’s recent series of tweets about not attending the MET Gala and the VMA’s has caused quite a stir on social media.
In case you missed it, on Monday Minaj said that she wasn’t attending the Gala because of the vaccine mandate. She also revealed that she didn’t want to travel and risk spreading the virus to her infant son.
Unfortunately her diatribe didn’t sit well with MSNBC host Joy Ann Reid who reprimanded the rap star.
Nicki clapped back and soon after actress Yvette Nicole Brown entered the chat to stand up for her friend Reid.
Sis, she wasn’t coming for you.❤️
Her name is @JoyAnnReid. And she’s a REAL one who fights for us DAILY.
She’s also a huge fan of yours ❤️ & was just trying to remind you that whenever you speak 22 million people listen.
A huge platform like yours carries great responsibility.

Unfortunately, the Barbz (Minaj fans) got unruly and have been flooding her comment section with Unicorns. On Tuesday Brown posted a message basically letting them know she ain’t scarred.

“Let me help you #Barbz,” she wrote. “I’m a grown ass woman. An emoji especially an adorable one of a unicorn has never and will never hurt my feelings or affect my rise in this world. Fill my page up until your Twitter fingers bleed.”
She added, “I said what I said. I meant every word and I was respectful to you and your Queen.”
Minaj meanwhile has not responded to Brown’s post, but she has been going at with Piers Morgan on social media.
