Keyshia Cole Breaks Her Silence Following Mother’s Death
Keyshia Cole is speaking out for the first time since her mother’s tragic death.
On Thursday the singer shared what she loved about her mom and what she will miss the most now that she’s gone in a post on Instagram.

Cole shared a series of photos with Frankie Lons with a lengthy caption to honor her late mother. “This is so hard man. Can’t really even find the words. SMH,” she wrote. “I honestly don’t even know how to feel. You can never prepare for something like this… Ever!!! but you will be missed.”
While Keisha and Frankie weren’t close while the singer was growing up — she was raised by friends and relatives — the two connected later in life, and their relationship was profiled on Coles numerous reality shows including “Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is” and “Keyshia Cole: My New Life.”
Per TMZ, the family is planning to have a service for Frankie in the near future. According to Keyshia, it meant the most to Frankie to have all of her children in one place, at one time.
“When u said all you want is to have ALL OF YOUR CHILDREN IN ONE PLACE, AT ONE TIME meant the most to you, And I’m completely down to do that for you. Even through our differences …. WE LOVE YOU. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!! Frank da bank!”, she added in her Instagram post.
Lons died at home in Oakland on Sunday, on her 61st birthday. Cole’s sister Elite Noel, first revealed Lons’ death on her Instagram Story early Monday morning, writing, “worse pain ever… to see my mama in a body bag on her birthday! My heart so (expletive) broke.”
