Khloe Kardashian Breaks Silence on Body Image Issues
Khloe Kardashian has been open about her body image issues before, but now things have certainly come to a head. After an unauthorized picture of the reality star hit the ‘net, she’s now revealing that her self-image struggle still continues because of all the trolls that torment her.
It was an unedited, un-retouched, un-photoshopped picture uploaded mistakenly by an assistant that set off a firestorm. Khloe’s team worked feverishly to scrub it from the web, which ironically added fuel to the fire — think Streisand effect.
The hoopla also caused KK to hop on IG and show off what her body looks like at this very moment. She posted two videos, and even went live, flaunting her toned torso, slim waist, and ample backside. She also posted a lengthy note defending her actions.
“The photo that was posted this week is beautiful. But as someone who has struggled with body image her whole life, when someone takes a photo of you that isn’t flattering in bad lighting or doesn’t capture your body the way it is after working so hard to get it to this point — and then shares it to the world — you should have every right to ask for it to not be shared — regardless of who you are.”
Kardashian also shared that “the pressure, constant ridicule and judgment my entire life to be perfect and to meet other’s standards of how I should look has been too much to bear.”
While many online pointed out that Khlo perpetuates and profits from the unrealistic beauty standards she’s condemning, fans also showed the Good American founder some love.
Every celebrity edits their pics, but people are lashing out at Khloe for editing hers noticeably? The fake outrage is so tiresome to me. We live in a sick culture where we punish people for showing vulnerability and having insecurities.

I touch up my photos use filters and remove my 4 babies stretch marks all of that. It’s OK. We all do it! You have cultivated a life that doesn’t need to be validated on social media. Let that pic live, embrace it and keep it moving! You are a beautiful person! 💓💓

Thankfully, it sounds like this whole experience has encouraged Khloe to live for herself and no one else.
“My body, my image and how I choose to look and what I want to share is my choice. It’s not for anyone to decide or judge what is acceptable anymore.”
