NBA YoungBoy Arrested In L.A. After Allegedly Running From The Cops
NBA Young Boy’s week is not getting off to a winning start. Actually it’s getting off to a running start.
According to reports the 21-year-old is in now in FBI custody after attempting to flee from the cops during a traffic stop.
The Baton Rouge, LA bred MC has an outstanding federal warrant and authorities have been trying to track him down. On Monday, the LAPD and the feds attempted to pull over a vehicle he was in Tarzana, CA. The vehicle however didn’t stop, prompting a short pursuit, which ended with YoungBoy trying to flee on foot.
Cops set up a perimeter and brought in a K-9 to help find him. According to TMZ the police dog didn’t bite him — but did sniff him out. He was arrested and taken into custody around 1 p.m.
Back in February it was reported that YoungBoy, real name Kentrell DeSean Gaulden, was under federal investigation following his September 2020 arrest on drug and firearms charges in Louisiana.
The most recent incident, however, is just one of multiple legal cases Gaulden has faced over the last six years. In 2016 he was arrested for his involvement in a Baton Rouge shooting. In the years following the rapper has been arrested for attempted murder, aggravated assault, domestic violence, and weapons and gun possessions.
His former fiancé and babymother Yaya Mayweather reacted to his latest run in with the law writing “FreeKentrell” in her IG stories. She also wrote: “My day has been completely ruined.”

We can only imagine how Kentrell feels. No word on if he has been released on bond.
