Meghan Markle Ready To Rumble With The Royal Family!
Meghan Markle has clearly hit a breaking point with the Royal Family and now sis is ready to risk it all to clear her name. In fact, the Duchess of Sussex says, “there’s a lot that’s been lost already.”
This week we’ve seen clips of the Markle and Prince Harry sit-down with Oprah that’s set to air on Sunday. The teasers have given us a glimpse at the topics they’ll cover — none more intriguing than their “Megexit” and their current relationship with the Royal Family.
But, on Thursday, we finally saw Meghan speak on her personal reasons for finally addressing the incessant attacks she’s faced. In response to Lady O asking, “How do you feel about the palace hearing you speak your truth today?” Meghan stated:
“I don’t know how they could expect that after all of this time, we would still just be silent if there is an active role that the Firm is playing in perpetuating falsehoods about us. And if that comes with risk of losing things, I mean I — there’s a lot that’s been lost already.”
Meghan’s haunting words come on the heels of a news report yesterday stating that Buckingham Palace will be launching a probe into bullying allegations against Meghan that were first reported by The Times in the U.K.
“We are clearly very concerned about allegations in The Times following claims made by former staff of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex,” the palace said in a statement. “Accordingly, our HR team will look into the circumstances outlined in the article. Members of staff involved at the time, including those who have left the Household, will be invited to participate to see if lessons can be learned. The Royal Household has had a Dignity at Work policy in place for a number of years and does not and will not tolerate bullying or harassment in the workplace.”
Of course, Markle has denied the accusations, and we, of course, can smell BS even all the way across the pond. The Royal Family has some nerve … but if you’ve seen The Crown you already know they’re a shady bunch.
We hope the best for Meghan, Harry, Archie, and their impending bundle of joy. And we most certainly will be tuned in when Oprah with Meghan and Harry airs Sunday at 8 p.m. on CBS.
