Twitter Wants Regé-Jean Page To Play James Bond, But Does He Want To?
Move over Idris Elba … Bridgerton’s Rege-Jean Page is now the internet’s new boo and top pick to play James Bond. Fans are lobbying real hard to make the dashingly handsome actor the new 007.
If it’s not gonna be Idris, I’m totally supportive of Rege-Jean Page as the next James Bond. pic.twitter.com/Cq3eEyG8TE

British betting firm, Ladbrokes, also said he has favorable odds in landing the iconic role and we can see why.

The 30-year-old is not only handsome, he’s British, has undeniable swagger, can rock a suit and charm a lady out of her dress with ease … he’s also pretty skilled at removing a corset. He told us so while we chatted with he and co-star Phoebe Dynevor about the show’s many steamy sex scenes.
“21st century dudes think they have trouble with bras, corsets are a whole new universe,” he joked.
He also responded to all the fan fare while on “The Tonight Show.”
“The internet thinks a lot of things, and that’s one of the more pleasant ones. So I’m pleased as far as that goes,” he told host Jimmy Fallon.
“I think there might be an element of a cultural translation to be done here. If you’re a Brit and you do something of any kind of renown that people regard well, then people start saying the B-word. It’s like a merit badge. You get the B-word merit badge. … I’m very, very glad to have the badge. I’m glad to be in such wonderful company of people who have the badge. But it’s a badge.”
Back in 2014 Elba was bestowed with that same badge. He told CNN “It would be such an honor. I mean what do we have to do here? We have to wear beautiful suits, drive nice cars, chase bad guys and date beautiful women? I dunno, sounds good to me.”
According to Variety, Elba could still nab the role soon to be vacated by current Bond, Daniel Craig. Tom Hardy still leads the way as favorite, with James Norton close behind in second place and Idris third.
Craig, who will last be seen as Bond in the upcoming “No Time To Die,” gave Idris a big seal of approval telling HipHollywood exclusively, “Definitely Idris is fantastic, he’s a wonderful actor.”
