Jazmine Sullivan Breaks The Internet With Mind-Blowing ‘Soul Train’ Performance
Whew chile! Jazmine Sullivan brought the house DOWN at the 2020 Soul Train Awards. Stage presence … check. Impeccable styling … check. Powerhouse vocals … triple check!!! The R&B singer absolutely stole the show and dominated Twitter timelines.
Sullivan has long been regarded for her soul-stirring singing, but it was something about Sunday’s performance that catapulted her to near legend status.
Set in the era of segregation, Jazmine’s almost 5-minute show-stopping set opened with effortless runs and rifts while she sang “Lost Ones.” Sullivan then transitioned into her latest single “Pick Up Your Feelings” and set the stage a blaze.

While Jazmine was definitely a highlight, she wasn’t the only one. The 2020 “Soul Train Awards” celebrated the best in Soul, R&B, and hip hop by highlighting both living legends and breakout stars with unrivaled musical moments and show-stopping performances.
Brandy performed a medley of her recent hits “Say Something” and “Boderline.” Ella Mai sang her latest single “Not Another Love Song.” Lucky Daye shut the stage down with Babyface for a performance of their new collaboration “Shoulda.” Charlie Wilson performed a duet with Smokey Robinson before honoring the memory of gospel legend Rance Allen with a rousing tribute. Additional performers included Snoh Aalegra, Andra Day, and CeeLo Green. After accepting the Lady of Soul Award, Monica brought down the house with a jam-packed performance of her chart-topping hits.
