Iggy Azalea Splits From Playboi Carti, Confirms Single Mom Status

The New Classic, is now a new single mom, but it sounds like Iggy Azalea is taking it all in stride! After keeping mum her entire pregnancy, and finally confirming the birth of her son a month after his May birth, the rapper is now opening up about “raising her son alone.”

In June, Azalea shared news of her baby boy with the world stating, “I have a son. I kept waiting for the right time to say something but it feels like the more time passes the more I realize I’m always going to feel anxious to share news that giant with the world.” At the time, she hadn’t shared any pictures or any other details, but fans knew that the father was most likely Iggy’s boyfriend Playboi Carti.

Fast-forward a few months later and the “Fancy” rapper has confirmed that Carti is indeed the father of the little boy named Onyx. But, Iggy also hinted that they were no longer together when she posted this message on IG:

And to further solidify her point, Azalea posted a follow-up message of three puking emoticons. She later posted another message confirming that she and Playboi did, in fact, split up. “What I mean last night was that I’m raising my son alone & I’m not in a relationship,” Iggy wrote.

Immediately fans began to wonder if the “Magnolia” rapper was ditching his daddy duties. But luckily, Iggy posted a clarifying message to her fans:

Well, we’re just happy they seem to be co-parenting and putting Onyx first!
