Reports: Tamar Braxton Transferred To Another Facility For Mental Health Treatment

Tamar Braxton is reportedly now awake and alert, according to sources, and has been transferred to another hospital in Los Angeles that has top specialists in the field of mental health, including depression and anxiety.

As previously reported Braxton was hospitalized on Thursday evening (July 14) after allegedly attempting to take her own life. She was found unresponsive by her boyfriend David Adefeso at the Ritz-Carlton residences in Los Angeles. Adefeso told police his “girlfriend had been drinking and taken an unknown amount of prescription pills. And that he believed it was a possible suicide attempt.”

Braxton’s family released a statement via their spokesperson saying, “Tamar has had a very tough and emotional day – more information will be coming in the next few days. Please pray for her.”

Meanwhile Tamar’s good friend Nene Leakes shared that she has spoken with her and David since she was admitted and said she is getting the help she needs. Leakes also said in the Instagram Live session that the Braxton Family Values star has “been dealing with a lot of different issues.”

According to The Blast a dispute’s between Braxton and Wetv, home of BFV and her new series Tamar Braxton: Get Ya Life may have led to her breakdown.

A week earlier Braxton sent the network a scathing letter via email about their unfair treatment of her family over the years. Braxton’s email to Wetv reportedly read,

“We fight with each other, we betray each other, and now we’re physically assaulting each other — all happening because your show [‘Braxton Family Values’] has chosen to show the absolute worst side of a strong, independent and successful African American family; a show that I created to showcase a strong Black Family as a beacon of hope for all the young black girls and boys out there; instead you coached and cajoled us into finding the worst in each other.”

She continued, reportedly likening the network to “cruel white slave masters who once chained our forefathers, and the oppressive police forces that now terrorize our communities.”

She also changed her name on Twitter to “Tamar SLAVE Braxton.”
