Naya Rivera’s Body Recovered After Extensive, Multi-Day Search In Lake Piru

UPDATE: The body found at Lake Piru has been confirmed to be that of Naya Rivera. The “Glee” star was 33-years-old.

After multiple days and countless hours of searching a body has been recovered at Lake Piru where Naya Rivera went missing just last week.

The identity of the body has yet to be released. However, according to the Ventura Coiunty Sheriff’s Department, reporter by THR, divers located the body around 9:30am on Monday after resuming the search for the Glee star who went missing after taking her 4-year-old son boating last Wednesday.

Lake Piru has remained closed to the public. However, many of Naya’s friends and family have been in the area to assist in the recovery efforts. And pleas and prayers from fans have been ever present on social media.

The Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the identity of the body once the next of kin has been notified. A press conference is scheduled for 2pm.
