Al B. Sure! Breaks Down Talking About Kim Porter, Says They Were Married!
Al B. Sure! just dropped some bombshell news about his romance with the late Kim Porter. While we all knew the two dated in the late 80s and had a son together before she began dating Diddy, we didn’t know the two were briefly married. The R&B crooner shared that bit of tea while on Fox Soul Wednesday night.
“I posted something the other day, talking about my ex-wife—yeah, I said it. My ex-wife! Kimberly,” he proclaimed. “Nobody knew because we didn’t discuss being married. We didn’t discuss that. I was just giving her—every so often, I give her a tribute.”
The singer’s confession comes a few days after he posted on Instagram that he didn’t believe the former model died of pneumonia but instead was murdered. Sure made that proclamation in a now deleted message posted alongside a video crying, allegedly at the time he found out that Kim had passed away.
“I do know very clearly that #Kimberly didn’t just check out all of a sudden over pneumonía. That’s some bull sh**. Really? This is where I get in trouble,” he wrote.
The R&B icon told the Fox Soul panel that he was on the way to rehearse for the Soul Train Awards so he was filming himself when he received the call that Porter had died. Following his post many outlets re-posted the video.
“I hate to see the blogs and all that who like take…I don’t answer to nobody. I’m an OG. I’m almost 52 years old. I’m a grandfather. You know the only person I answer to? My grandson now …So whatever the case is, I just want the truth to be told,” he said after briefly breaking into tears.
Porter shared one older son, Quincy Brown, with Sure and three younger children, Christian “King” Combs, Jessie Combs and D’Lila Combs, with Sean “Diddy” Combs.
As previously reported the 47-year-old mother of four died on November 15, 2018 at her Toluca Lake, CA home. An autopsy confirmed her cause of death was in fact pneumonia despite theories to the contrary.
