Why Fans Have Decided To Tap Out Of Saweetie’s New Single “Tap In” … And She’s OK With That!
There’s no denying that Saweetie knows how to create a bop. Her single “My Type” was the summer anthem last year and definitely took her career to the next level. But, with her latest track “Tap In” fans are feeling a bit of déjà vu … and that may not be a good thing.
Saweetie’s “Tap In” is certainly giving us nostalgia — an early 2000s steez to be exact. But, just like “My Type” the song uses a sample and fans are starting to think maybe the self-professed Icy Girl is a one trick pony. Folks were OK with the rapper using “Freek-a-Leek”, but now that she’s sampled “Blow The Whistle” she’s getting major side-eye.

Luckily, Saweetie isn’t letting a few hater spoil the party. In fact, she’s letting it be known, if you aren’t feeling “Tap In”, maybe you should just tap out…
U speaking on behalf of yourself 💛 tap out if you can’t tap in 😘 https://t.co/gggsctjDym

Take a listen to the single below … Do you think it’s time for Saweetie to tap some new ideas, or is just two samples not that big of a deal?
