Joe Biden To Charlamagne: “You Ain’t Black” If You Vote For Trump!
Looks like Joe Biden has stuck his foot in his mouth and it could have a damning effect on his candidacy.
It was a 20-minute interview between Charlamagne and presidential hopeful Biden, and all was good until it went off the rails in the last minute. Seriously … Joe fumbled the ball at the goal line.
The interview ended with Charlamagne expressing to Joe that, “Black people saved your political life in the primaries this year, and they have things they want from you, and one of them is a Black woman running mate.” While Joe wouldn’t confirm who was on his list to be vetted, he assured The Breakfast Club co-host that, “there are multiple Black women being considered.” Biden was then interrupted by someone off-camera telling him his interview time was up.
Clearly, this was a pivotal point in the conversation and Charlamagne protested, “You can’t do that to black media.” Joe’s response? “I can do that to white media and black media because my wife has to go on at six o’clock.” He should’ve stopped there, but he didn’t, and when Charlamagne suggested he come back to answer more questions before the November election, Biden made this bold statement:
“You’ve got more questions? I’ll tell you, if you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or for Trump, then you ain’t Black.”
Somebody needs to tell Joe Biden that this comment to Charlamagne was a mistake.
Yes, Biden is a much better choice for black people than racist Trump.
But white people don’t get to tell black people what is black.
Biden still has to EARN our vote.pic.twitter.com/TPEV5ZpEYi

The comment may have been directed just at Charlamagne (or not), but it plays into the false notion that the democrats OWN the Black vote and don’t have to EARN the Black vote. Furthermore, a privileged white man does not get to dictate what is and isn’t Black … even if the comment was said in jest.
Unfortunately for Joe, his off-the-cuff statement has found it’s way to Twitter and he is being destroyed…
All you had to do was be decent. Just be decent. Decent is a low bar but so much more than what we've had the last 3 years. With your comment to Charlamagne, (you're still better than Donald IMO) unfortunately you just pushed away so many votes you'll need. #Idiot pic.twitter.com/V8vWKGQjXk

Worse than this disgusting comment is that Biden was saying it in response to Charlamagne telling him they had more questions.
Joe Biden doesn't want to answer questions about how he will earn the black vote. He'd rather tell people "they ain't black" if they dont support him. https://t.co/NixQGIuOSB

I do not like Charlamagne at all but Joe really fixed his mouth to tell him that he isn’t black just because of who he votes for that’s not his place nor job to call out coons, that’s ours within the black community

Joe Biden sat there with Charlamagne and had the GALL to say "if you have a problem figuring out whether you're for me or Trump you ain't black"… the fact that we have to choose between that and the orange idiot is just beyond me pic.twitter.com/OwAn5mPQYT

Folks even pointed out that Charlamagne may have seen this coming long ago…
Charlamagne saw it coming 😐 pic.twitter.com/QhvZyoN11L

But maybe context is what matters most:
Just a thought…..How about we listen to the entire @JoeBiden interview with @cthagod before we start roasting him? A white man telling a black man who is and isn't black is inexcusable, but what led to that exchange, and why Biden was triggered, matters as well
