Denzel Washington Trending On Twitter For Helping Homeless Black Man In Distress
Denzel Washington is giving fans another reason to love him. A video has surfaced of the Oscar winner helping a homeless black man in distress.
According to reports Denzel was driving in WeHo at around 1 PM when he saw the man in the street … in some peril with oncoming traffic.
Denzel got out of his car, talked to the man and brought him to safety on the sidewalk. Police arrived and they talked to the man as Denzel continued to comfort him.
The incident took place a week ago but the video is now trending on Twitter  as conversations around police brutality and the death of George Floyd continues to escalate.

I applaud Denzel for doing this. It shouldn’t have to be the case because this still could have gone left. But unlike some celebs who want to victim blame today, he actually stepped in and did something. https://t.co/XpfDCftI2b

Denzel Washington stepped in just to make sure that this man was arrested without incident. It’s not that we don’t think wrongdoings shouldn’t be punished but black people deserve due process. #GeorgeFloyd #BlackLivesMatter pic.twitter.com/8pTZqylSle

The man was detained — not sure why but possibly to make sure he was okay — then released. It’s also being reported that the man may have mental health issues. If that was the case Washington deserves an extra round of applause. It takes special skill plus patience and compassion to help those with mental issues when they are in distress.
Washington may not have had on a cape but he certainly had on a mask.
