Rita Wilson And Naughty By Nature Record ‘Hip-Hop Hooray’ Remix For Charity
Rona Rita is back ya’ll. Now that Rita Wilson and her hubby Tom Hanks have recovered from the coronavirus, the actress is doing her part to raise money for COVID-19 relief.
Wilson has teamed up with Naughty By Nature to collaborate for an official remix of “Hip-hop Hooray” to help raise money for the MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund.
As previously reported a video of Wilson rapping a verse from the song instantly went viral. At the time Wilson and Hanks were in self-isolation in Australia where Hanks was filming the Elvis Presley biopic.
It was surely a heartwarming moment as news of her and Tom’s diagnosis sent shock waves through the world. The couple said they didn’t have symptoms, BUT urged folks to take COVID-19 seriously and stay at home.
Now, it’s no surprise Rita is doing what she can to help others as the number of cases in the U.S. has surpassed China and Italy.
Wilson shared news of the remix as well as a fun video she and the group made on her Instagram account over the weekend.
So far the fund has raised already almost $2000. To Donate click here.
Hanks hosted Saturday Night Live‘s first at home edition following his return to the U.S. and he and Rita also participated in Diddy’s dance-a-thon on Easter Sunday. We knew Tom was a national treasure but we can now add his wife Rita to the list. The jury is still out on their son Chet.
