Gaudy or Gorgeous … Fans React To Drake’s Canadian Chateau

You want the grand tour of Drake’s home, but you’re not about that groupie life? No worries, Architectural Digest has got you covered. The interior design magazine was granted access into Drizzy palatial chateau with the rapper himself giving the guided tour.

Measuring 50,000 square feet, with amenities such as an NBA regulation-size indoor basketball court crowned by a 21-square-foot pyramidal skylight, Drake’s astonishing domicile certainly qualifies as extravagant.

And that’s just the beginning.

The pictures alone are awe-inducing, but as the Canadian rapper and his architectural and interior designer Ferris Rafauli speak about the “Drake Manor”, you get more of an understanding as to why they went so stately.

“Because I was building it in my hometown, I wanted the structure to stand firm for 100 years. I wanted it to have a monumental scale and feel,” Drake says of his passion project. “It will be one of the things I leave behind, so it had to be timeless and strong.”

“Once you’ve chosen a certain style, you can dance within that style,” the designer observes. Drake insists, “It’s overwhelming high luxury. That message is delivered through the size of the rooms and the materials and details of the floors and the ceilings. I wanted to make sure people can see the work I’ve put in over the years reflected from every vantage point.”

The project had been in the works for quite some time and from these aerial views you can see why … it’s humongous!

The infamous Champagne Papi (on Instagram) also gave us a little preview in his most recent video “Toosie Slide”…

However, these pics tell a different tale and folks are on the fence about whether they love Drake’s mansion or hate it.
