Rapper Pop Smoke Dead At 20-Years-Old

Another life lost far too soon. Rapper Pop Smoke is dead at just 20-years-old.

Pop Smoke, whose real name was Bashar Barakah Jackson, was just starting to emerge as an artist to watch, especially after dropping the hit of the summer, “Welcome To The Party”. Smoke all just released his second mixtape “Meet The Woo 2” this month and had everyone from Nicki Minaj to 50 Cent buzzing about his skills. But all of the hype came to an untimely end when his life was cut short on Wednesday, February 19th.

According to TMZ:

The rapper was at a home in the Hollywood Hills at around 4:30 AM when 2 men wearing hoodies and masks broke into a house … this according to law enforcement sources. We’re told the 2 men fired multiple shots, striking and critically wounding Pop Smoke. The men were seen fleeing on foot.

Apparently, there was a house party at Pop’s home just hours before the shooting. There are theories that the young rapper may have been set up.

Fans and colleagues of Smoke posted their condolences on Twitter…
