Internet In An Uproar Over Gayle King’s Kobe Questions
Lisa Leslie sat-down with Gayle King to talk about the tragic loss of her dear friend Kobe Bryant. What resulted was Leslie having to defend her friend against decades old rape allegations that were ultimately dismissed.
During her interview on “CBS This Morning,” Leslie calmly, and sincerely, answered Gayle when she asked if Kobe’s legacy was “complicated” due to the 2003 rape allegation. “It’s not complicated for me at all,” the former WNBA player responded. “I don’t think it’s something that we should keep hanging over his legacy.”
While Lisa handled the tough questions like the champ that she is, Twitter rallied around her, applauding her loyalty, while shading King’s line of questioning.
Salute to Lisa Leslie for not letting Gayle suck her into her personal agenda

Harvey Weinstein is still alive but Gayle rather ask old rape allegation questions about a man who just died last week? pic.twitter.com/Dq3zAZWudB

Oprah & Gayle are both promoting the Kobe, Michael Jackson, & Russell Simmons allegations, but can’t seem seem to remember the guy who is currently standing trial.
Show me video of Oprah or Gayle badgering one of Harvey Weinstein’s acquaintances the way Gayle did Lisa Leslie? pic.twitter.com/mRA9lfPE8R

Oprah and Gayle have become the biggest threat to black men. They seem to have a very biased agenda. I just want to know when are you going to interview Harvey Weinstein or any of his accusers. pic.twitter.com/P9Xwb3ipOF

Ultimately, Leslie did get to speak fondly about her friend, in a non-sensationalized, click-baity way…
