Watch: Jamie Foxx Belts Out Frank Sinatra’s ‘My Way’ Alongside Andrea Bocelli
We all know Jamie Foxx is a man of many talents, but he proved why he’s a versatile singer/ performer at the Hollywood Bowl Tuesday night.
The comedian and Oscar winner joined legendary opera singer Andrea Bocelli during his concert to sing the Frank Sinatra hit “My Way” … and of course he nailed it.
The moment was a dream come true for Foxx. He thanked Bocelli on his Instagram page alongside a photo of the two of them, and pics of the call sheet, so you know it’s real.
“@andreabocelliofficial thank u 1 billion for allowing a fella from Terrell Texas share in artistic musical history, he wrote “My grandma said my music would take me all over the world and do great things with great people… tonight at the Hollywood bowl it will be done… #music #musicman”
Jamie also posted a video of the duo rehearsing and a snippet from the actual performance revealing in the caption that his late grandmother told him this day would come.
“Estelle Marie Talley prophesied that this day along with many other special days would come… but this night was one filled with angels. And the crowd was electric Grannie we did it!!”
This is Foxx’s first time performing an opera number with Bocelli, hence his excitement. In 2016 he joined Bocelli and Pharrell to perform a song during the Grammy tribute to Stevie Wonder.
