We all know the ladies love Omari Hardwick. On screen the handsome actor is best known for his role as James “Ghost” St. Patrick on Power, but offscreen he takes his role as father and husband most to heart.
He told HipHollywood during our sit down with his new flick Nobody’s Fool how marriage changed him for the better, and also revealed what men look for in a woman.
“We definitely have an archetype or a prototype in our mind of what we want” he explained. “A big thing for us is “wifey” is she wife material or is she girlfriend material.”
Hardwick also admitted that like women, men make a list (of sorts).
“We figure it out later, you guys are rocking and rolling on that thing early, like let me find my king so I can dominate in my kingdom, we don’t really think about that until the last hour,” he joked.
He added, “We get to be kids longer, it’s not fair to ya’ll but we get to be bad, so essentially we’re afforded the opportunity to not have to do a list because we don’t have to be as serious as soon.”
Hardwick’s advice comes hot on the heels of an altercation he had with a fan for not stopping and taking a photo. He addressed the issue during a visit on The Breakfast Club explaining that the fan was a bit rude and didn’t even acknowledge his wife, Jennifer Pfautch, standing right beside him.
“She didn’t at all walk away,” Hardwick explained of the fan. “She sat there and looked at me and said, ‘Really?’ and I said, ‘Really. I’m with my family. God bless you.’”
He continued, “You’re staring at me. You’re not even acknowledging my family.”
He then followed that up with an open letter to his children, explaining to them that they’ll ALWAYS come first in his life no matter what.
Nobody’s Fool is in theaters November 2.
