Over the weekend, Conor Mcgregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov faced off to see if there would be a new reigning UFC Lightweight Champ. While Nurmagomedov was able to keep his title after forcing Mcgregor to tap out in the fourth round, the big news happened after the fight.

The Russian fighter decided to hop out of the Octagon cage and turn his rage on Mcgregor’s teammate Dillon Danis:

While many people are shocked about the brawl,  Nurmagomedov isn’t the only athlete who has lost his cool during a sporting event. Check out these top unsportsmanlike moments:

1. Draymond Green v. Tristan Thompson

NBA players Draymond Green has always loves to troll while on the court. Well during Game 1 of the 2018 NBA Finals Cavaliers’ player Triston Thompson made it clear that he wasn’t a fan. Green began trolling Thompson while he walked off court after being ejected.  Tristan turns around and after a few short words, shoves the basketball in the former Golden State Warrior player’s face. Blows were thrown but not much connected.

2. Andre Johnson v Cortlandt Finnegan

Back in 2010, former Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson beat the mess out of ex Titans’ cornerback Cortlandt Finnegan after having enough of Finnegan’s on field bullying.  It all started when Finnegan began jabbing at Johnson’ face mask.  The Texans’ star then ripped off Finnegan’s helmet and was able to land two punches to his head and neck.

3. Kobe Bryant v. Chris Childs

Kobe Bryant will always be the GOAT but lets not forgot about the times he also caught the fade on court! In April 2000 while playing at the Staples Center, the Lakers’ star was coming off a screen when he accidentally elbowed Knicks’ guard Chris Childs. It led to some in your face words before Childs threw a punch that connected to Kobe’s throat.

4. Detroit Pistons v Indiana Pacers (Malice In The Palace)

A fight between ex NBA players Ben Wallace and Ron Artest would turn into what we call today, Malice in the Palace. Wallace and Artest got into it after Artest fouled the Pistons’ star  with less than 50 seconds left in the game. Artest laid down on the scorers’ table after the altercation. A fan decided to throw a cup from the stands and lets’ just say all hell broke loose shortly after.

5. Red Sox v NY Yankees

Boston and New York will always be rivals so it’s no surprise when former Yankees star Alex Rodriquez’s fight with ex Red Sox catcher Jason Varitek led into a huge brawl. Rodriguez was up to swing when Pitcher Bronson Arroyo threw a hard ball at Rodriquez. A-Rod became angry and had a few words for the bad aim. Varitek defended Arroyo which made the incident escalate. The pair began fighting and then it became a full a team on team brawl.

6. Mike Tyson v Evander Holyfield’s Ear

The bite heard from around the world. In 1997, Tyson bit Holyfield’s ear because he was angry with Holyfield being able to get away with cheap head butts unpunished. That’s definitely a lesson he will remember for the rest of his life.
